BIOGRAPHY

Raúl Díaz Alonso was born in Vigo, Spain, in 2005. He started studying Fine Arts in 2023 in Pontevedra, Spain, and continues with that career today. Multiple of his teachers have shown interest in his work over the past few years, discussing offering him different opportunities in future shows and residencies. Currently studying a year abroad as an exchange student in London, studying at Kingston School of Art under the Erasmus exchange program. In this year abroad, he aims to explore a more defined artistic practice that reflects his interests and opportunities to showcase his work as a proper artist.
His work as an artist focuses on both painting and photography. He creates emotional metaphors through his art that express topics such as queer love and passion, as well as his interest in the contrast between urban modern life and nature. Not only is his work a dramatic portrayal of life and love, but also a critique of certain topics surrounding the modern world. All of this, as a way to express the more emotional part of life, hoping others will relate to it, reflect on it, and embrace the raw emotions that come with it.
